arnica cream question

My PS suggested I try arnica cream during radiation if the rad onc ok's it.  Has anyone here had any experience with it?  I am currently using an aloe gel, but am starting to get a bit of swelling and redness.  Wondering if this would be better.

The thing I know about Arnica cream is you don't want to use it if you have an open wound or any break in the skin.  Since it is for swelling and brusing, I'm sure it's fine to use, as long as the skin is intact.

Thanks, bomber.  I think maybe I'll stick with the aloe then, unless I can locate an better alternative for the skin burns.

I used arnica gel after my surgury with terrific result.  I avoided the wounds itself and I had great results.  You also can use arnica pellets.  I have the 30 as well as the 200 strength..  Like Bomber said, just don't use it on an open wound and you should be fine.
