Relationship With Your Onc..

Hi Everyone,  I don't know if it is just me or if others have this problem.  I am not comfortable with my Onc. I know his primary concern is, and should be, my cancer, but I have some problems with SE and it seems he just doesn't care.  If it doesn't have to do with cancer he doesn't want to hear it.  To be fair, my weight is an issue and he is watching it  as I lose more and more. I am on a clinical trial and I think he should be more concerned about the side effects as I think he has to report to the pharmaceutical company periodically. I once asked him who I contact when I am having a problem, him or my family doc, and he said if it is cancer related him, otherwise her. Well, sometimes I don't know!  Anyway, I am very depressed recently and need a prescription, I called and asked his onc. nurse and she said to call my family doc.  I thought that was one thing he could do as I imgine it is quite common with cancer patients, especially stage IV.

Your thoughts will be appreciated a lot. Thanks in advance
