Why does it still show "new"?

Does anyone else have this - I'll come check the board and come back like 2 hours later and ones I know I looked at and have no new posts will still say "new" for me.  It's kinda frustrating.  I understand they'll say "new" if I haven't open up and looked at the post or if someone new has posted since I last logged on, but I hate that it says "new" when it's not!

Maybe it's just a personal thing  and yes I do log in each time.

I keep my browser open on bco so I don't have to worry about it.  Seems the cookie isn't storing all the messages you read once you close the browser.  I notice that too so that is why I just minimize my browser when I leave the computer.
