I'm coming to the end of my journey to a new normal; I will have only 1 year of Arimidex left as of this September. Already done the core biopsy, DCIS diagnosis, mast, immediate TRAM recon, subsequent dx of invasion from mast path, lymph node dissection, chemo, Tamoxifen, proph ooph/total hyst to get off tamoxifen due to increased risk of uterine cancer since I'm a DES daughter; now on Arimidex.

In addition to the daily (sometimes hourly!) support I've obtained from this site, I also learned on this site how to apply for permanent disability due to my nerve damage (post-mastectomy pain syndrome). I now just learned that I can apply to have a student loan totally discharged due to being permanently disabled. I just completed the paperwork and will save myself over $10,000!!!!!

I am not exaggerating when I say this site saved my life. Thanks to you all.
