Hi everyone. I'm in Launceston, Tasmania.

Hey Kerry
My DH was born in Queenstown then moved to Launceston. I am originally from New Norfolk!
We have lived in Melbourne for decades. Still think of myself as a Tasmanian though.
Small world.

Hey Jezza,
I was born in the Bethlehem Hospital, East Bentleigh, and lived in Vic (St.Arnaud) until 15 years ago. I still think of myself as a Vic
Spar2, where is Okla?

Hi Kerry Oklahoma is in the very center of the United States
Caz, I am 56 and was diagnosed in 2004 have finished my treatment and had reconstruction in 2007 as far as I know I am NED, scans coming up in Sept. I have 2 wonderful grown kids and 3 grandchildren. Do love married life. I married my husband at age 40 and have never looked back, love him more and more everyday. (My kids are from my first marriage at 18 to my jr high school sweetheart, he was 17) I have a wonderful furfriend too, a little miniture weiner dog, a calico cat, and a duck that loves to chew on my finger. I had enough years in that I got to reire at 55 and have loved every single minute of it. Hope all is well with you and would love to get to know you better.

Hi Jezza Princessvi kerry_lamb and spar2. so good to hear from you all. This is areat place to come to talk and for some support.
I also love married life. I do love my hubby more as time goes on.My dog loves to chew on my finger. He has a strong jaw but never bites hard.
All is wel. Had a crappy day at work today but I'll move on. I have a general manager who gets off on yelling at people and I was in his office today when this happened. It's hard to respect my bosses when he can't even control himself. any way sorry for the vent. Emotions are still a bit raw.
I hope all is well in your neck of the woods.
-

Hi there, great to find this thread. I live in melbourne. I am currently having chemo and will be finished in sept. I have two beautiful boys aged 5 and 9yrs and a wonderful husband who has been my rock of late. The chemo has been really hard especially the first 10 days after carnt wait for it to be over!!! Hope your all having a good day.
-
Hi Starr
I had a very similar diagnosis to yourself. IDC, less than 1cm, grade 3, o nodes stage 1, er,pr and her -.
What chemo are you getting? I hope your feeling better. I wasn't the norm with my response to chemo. I felt crap in the 2nd and 3rd week and every chemo gave me different symptoms. If you want some support through chemo I'm happy to chat. Send me a message if you would like someone to talk to.
I grew up in Melbourne. It's a great place. I am coming to melbourne in august for a birthday celebration and to shop and have a play at the casino.
I don't have any kids but am newly married to a wonderful husband.

Hi All
I am having FEC... would love to post that I have been doing well as I know many do, however I have found the diagnosis and surgory (bi-lat mastectomy with immediate recon) plus the chemo to be emotionally too great at times. I was in tears yesterday just because I had to go to the dentist as has absess...it just seemed the straw that broke the camels back. Anyhow i am longing for the day when I dont think about BC to often as its nearlly all I think about at the moment!!!! Have 5th FEC on wed and starting to feel really upset that I have to face this chemo agin....sorry to post all this grumblig but last couple of days have been really hard.
-
Oh starr...never apologise for grumbling!! This is what forums are all about.Saying things that you probably couldn't say to your friends and family.
I know it seems like one thing after another..and it IS!
Hang in there....thinking of you on Wednesday and BTW an absess is REALLY painful...NOT FAIR!
Trust me..you will soon be here encouraging others as they start their chemo.
Until then.....Hugs
Jezza
PS Really cold in our part of the world at the moment!
