Nana has breast cancer...Surgery in 4 days...

My nana was diagnosed with breast cancer about 4 weeks ago. She will be having surgery Monday July 28, 2008. I was told she might want to take chapstick & vitamin E with her. Can anyone tell me why and is there any other small things we might want to take that we might not be thinking of???? ANything that might be helpful....Thanks in advance...

    If you go to the just dianosed category you will see many topics regarding what to bring in for surgery.  Take nice comfy pj's that button down the front and with pockets for the drains.  is she have mastectory or lumpectomy.  Hugs to you.  Lots of people will be along to help with your questions.  I know you are scared right now.

    She is having a double mastectomy... then staging...lymphs look good though...Scared isn't even the word...Thanks soooo much for your reply...This page is a wonderful thing...Still figuring out how to use it....But sooo far I love it....Thanks again...
