natural candy for metal tatse

A doctor at my hospital mentioned some sort of sucking candy that you get in the health food store, that helps with the metal taste, after some chemos. I am on TCH #5 and the metal taste has been going strong now for 7 days. Does anyone know what kind of candies they are? I can't remember the name she said, and I don't see her anymore.

Hi, I can't help you out on the name of the candy, but I do remember that I could taste jelly beans.  I tried every different brand and flavor and they were just about the only thing that could get through the metal taste.  Afterwards, when my taste came back, I ate some and they were very tangy.  Didn't taste that way during chemo.  So, some things do actaully get through the metal taste.  Good Luck.  I finished with chemo 18 months ago and feel great.  Actually, our dx sounds a great deal alike.  I finished Herceptin in Jan of 2008.  Like I said, I feel great.  Hang in there.  You will make it too.  Bonny
