I just posted this under her2+ forum, but wondered if anyone had ever seen these numbers and what they mean.

ER   57%

PR   93%

Ki67  59%

Her2Neu by FISH  4.0

I really never have understood all of these numbers. I guess it really doesn't matter now, since I'm completely done with my treatment.

I just pulled out my pathology report from November and was wondering if this is just something that is put on all pathology reports, or does it mean something??

    it reads as follows:

Needle biopsy - left breast - moderately differentiated

    Infiltrating Ductal Adenocarcinoma

    BSR GRADE: 3+2+1

    Lymphovascular Invasion: None seen

    ER by IHC       57%

    PR by IHC       93%

    Ki67 by IHC     59%

    Her2Neu by FISH    4.0

    Any thoughts would be appreciated!!

The BSR means Bloom-Scarff-Richardson grading system.

The 3+2+1  is showing the score of each of the three components used to grade the cancer according to this BSR grading system . So, 3+2+1 = 6.  A score of 6 makes it a grade 2.

See this link for a more indepth explaination http://surgpathcriteria.stanford.edu/breast/neuroendocrine_carcinoma_nos/grading.html

Thank you MarieKelly!! I'll go to the link. I should have asked my doctor, but I just saw it yesterday, even though it's been 8 months:)
