Pathology reports

I was re-reading my pathology report the other day and read that I have IDC, which I knew, and also DCIS. Is this a common thing or should I take a closer look at my Path Reports? This was never mentioned by my DR.

    Hi Donalee,

    It is common to have both.  You might have a Pathology for both.  One for the DCIS & another for the IDC.

    So it is a good idea to look & make sure you do know what the IDC is.

    My Path report on my DCIS was different from my IDC.
