My mom called today.......

I have been estranged from my mom for a number of years. She was emotionally sometimes physically abusive to me and my sister for years. My sister has not spoken to her in 11 years recently I made contact with her to help her financially. She is 77 years old and works full time. To make a long story short she called this morning asking me to come over to "feel a lump she found in her breast" my sister and I both had breast cancer. I feel sick to my stomach. I am not sure of how I will deal with this today when I see her. She is has no money and I believe she has medicare. I will pay for the mammogram next week if I have to. I love my mother but I have to love her at a distance because she has always hurt me when I get too close. I am going to see her now. Say a prayer for me and my mom. Stacey

{{Stacey}}  Of course, I'll say a prayer for you and your mom.  Estranged, or close, or what ever, they are still our mothers and still we hurt when they hurt.  Hoping it's not what you both are fearing.  Good Luck and keeping you in thoughts!
