New Here
Hi eveyone,
I've been lurking for a while and finally decided to join in. I was diagnosed with IBC in April. I'm 34 years old and have no family history of cancer. So it was a hughe shock. I'm also a triple negative on top of it, but I try not to dwell on the things I can not change. Just wanted to say that I have found this board to be really helpful. On some of my worst days I have found insipration in so many of your stories and experiences. I just finished four rounds of AC and will be going on to Taxol in two weeks. I'm a stage IIIB and working towards NED.
Thanks
dorfar

Sorry to meet like this, but this is a great group of people.
Sounds like you were lucky (if having IBC can be said in that term), but catching it at stage 3B is a good thing.
We have a bill in Congress right now addressing the fact there are so many more with IBC than previously thought, and education is so very necessary, so doctors can catch this monster earlier.
If you want to read the bill it is on our foundation website at:

I wanted to welcome you. It sucks to have cancer, but this site is truly a blessing. I didn't do AC, but did the Taxol. Good luck with it. I have had some new cancer growth, so it looks like I will be going back on Taxol whenever I am ready. My hair is finally cute, and now I am going to have to lose it again.
Nice to meet you, and we look forward to getting to know you!!!

Dorfar:
Welcome and sorry that you had to find this site. I too had 4 rounds of AC followed by Taxol. I found Taxol to be so much easier then AC.
Pattie: It's great the someone in congress is trying to get a bill through. Keeping my fingers crossed that it will pass.
Sunneedazee: I am so sorry to see that you have some new cancer growth. I agree 100% cancer does suck!!! Keeping you in my thoughts and prays.
Hugs from Michigan

Patti: Thanks for the info on the bill. I will definately check it out.
Mrs x: Sorry to hear about the new growth. The hair thing is tough, I'm still getting used to be bald. My prayers are with you.
Caseysmom: It good to hear Taxol was easier. I'm sure hoping it will be for me.
Thank-You all for your warm welcome.
