New procedure

Whew!  It's over.  But now what, the cloud that looms overhead with the possibility of "it" returning. 

I went with a cutting edge procedure called a nipple sparing mastectomy. That means that they just took the tissue from under the nipple and left it attached.  My fear is that just one little ugly cancer cell could be in there waiting to multiply.

Is there anyone that has had this done years ago that is still cancer free and with out any complications?  Even though I love my surgeon and trust her, I am sceptical.
