I am very curious about acupuncture.

Does it relieve symptoms from chemo/radiation? Does it help in healing? Has anyone tried acupuncture and have anything to share?

I did acupuncture for my neuropathy and felt it did help me some.  I know there are other on this site who said it help a lot with pain management and upset stomach. I know it is really being used with some of the large cancer center now.

    hi ninel,

my sister does acupunture and reiki--she was diagnosed with ovarian cancer 3 yrs ago--she was in a clinical trial at dana farber for a year--decided to try the holistic approach and she really feels that it has helped her stay ned for 2 yrs. i think it's worth a try if thats the way you want to go. i'm not quite there yet.

I did it all through rads and it helped alot, i feel. I saw a Chinese medicine doc who also put me on herbs during rads and his speciality is cancer. My rads oc was fine with it.

Jus like massage therapy or any other therapy, there are really good practicioners and ones that are just so-so. I recommend finding a Chinese Medicine doc for your accupuncture that really understands cancer and can help in very specific ways.

    Best wishes!
