How to add picture in message?

How do you add a picture in a message? Tried clicking on the tree icon but it brought up a box for a url. My pictures are on my computer. Thanks Karin

You need to set up a free account at www.photobucket.com and upload them there...then you can link to them.

Steps to post a picture

1) Create a free account on photobucket.com

2) Upload the picture from your computer to photobucket using their upload tool

3) Once the picture is uploaded, it will have 4 links underneath the picture,  Choose the 'direct' link.  You can just click on the 'direct' link box and photobucket will copy the url/link to your clipboard.

4) On BCO, click on the green tree symbol on the message window toolbar. (next to the smiley face)

5) Paste your link into the url box in the pop up window (click on the box and type ctrl + v to paste the link)

6) Click on the next box down so that the image utility will populate the size boxes.

7) Click insert or update to post the picture

I am having problems on www.photobucket.com. I uploaded some photos, but they are not posting here at all. I am not happy. I hope someone can help.

Kaloni, if you could tell me what exactly the problem was, I might be able to help you with this. If you tried to post the pix, what would happen? You click on the small green icon above the message box and a small pop-up window shows up. Then you type in the link to your pix which you have saved on your Photobucket account. If you look at one of the pix on Photobucket, you will see 4 links/codes: "Share URL", "Direct Link",  "HTML code" and "IMG code". Are you sure you type in a "Direct Link"? Most online message boards use an "IMG code" but here you need a direct link. This is the instruction on how to post pix on BCO which I made several months ago. I hope this helps.

I use the HTML code and then come here and click the  icon and it paste very easy.

Hi Fumi, Thank You for that information on inserting a photo onto the boards here. Sometimes I still have problems. I was wondering though, Do you know how to paste a photo from Photobucket into a Yahoo email? Where it will show only the picture, not a link. I been trying to send my Mom beautiful pictures from my album. Thanks.
