Climb For Hope

Climb for Hope was organized to raise and channel funds towards targeted and promising research in the fight against breast cancer.  Our mission is to find a viable treatment for breast cancer by 2009.

In January 2007, 21 climbers in our expedition team summited Mt. Cotopaxi, the world’s largest active volcano, raising $150,000 that was directed towards a vaccine being developed at Johns Hopkins University. by Dr. Leisha Emens.

2008 had 3 teams raising money, one tema summitted Cotopaxi in Jan, 2008 and 2 teams just reached the top of Mt. Kilimunjaro in Africa (June). THis year we have raised close to $370,000.

2009 will see teams heading to Cotopax again as well as Russia's Mt Elbrus (Europe's highest peek).

The money raised and donated goes directly to the researchand vaccine development with the climbers funding their own airfare and out of pocket cost.

Climb for Hope is partners with Earth Treks Climbing which provided professional, personalized health and skill training. Chris Warner, one of America’s premier climbers and veteran of Mt. Everest and K2 led our trip.
