I just got dx the 2nd time for IBC triple neg. (last time 7/6) Started on right side and covered my completed chestwall and shoulder in two weeks and than moved to left side  and neck. Yuck!  I also have a solid tumor  on the front of my right shoulder that looks like it wants to come through my skin.  Anyone else have this?  What do they do with this? Will it be taken off if other area responded to chemo?

Trying not to look in any mirrors...cancer is bad... but to actually see it is the worst.

    Dear Flalady,

I don't know the answer to your question, but wish to reach in here and give you a gentle communal hug of great support. Yes, seeing an angry shoulder lesion each day must be extremely taxing, and the saying out of sight out of mind comes to the forefront as a goal.

The Gemzar, Carboplatin, Avastin combo should seriously kick in soon, providing you some shrinkage of the shoulder lesion. I can only imagine too the pain associated with it, particularly if it involves an area common with arm motion. I wonder if any chemo or radiotherapy pellets are ever utilized in a situation such as yours, or the cryoknife type of surgery since it's so localized. Have you discussed a Moffitt visit with your oncologist regarding this?

I think of you each day and am sorry for your obvious struggle, particularly with this one lesion. May your doctors guidance on this be swift and insightful, as a breast cancer patient needs no daily painful reminder during their success-oriented therapy.

May you be showered with guidance and blessings,
    Tender

    Dear Flalady,

I have IBC, but haven't experienced this. I just wanted to let you know that I am thinking of you and hoping that your tx combo will knock this ca on its butt. You have been through so much.

    Hugs and Prayers,

    Lexi
