how do I cope with..

I am having a hard time coming to terms that my mom is in her last battle with breast cancer.. her numbers are down right now but she is only taking the pill  to keep it at bay( she doesn't want chemo again) which I can understand,

I am really scared of losing her.. there are days that I don't think I can handle the phone call when it is time..  I am the youngest of 3 and have already had a couple of major losses in my life.. will I be strong enough to move on with this one?

any ideas, helpful words anything to help put my mind at ease would be great!

                           I am so sorry to hear that your Mom isn't doing well with her treatment.

I understand your fear of losing her.  Sometimes I think the fear of the what if's and unknown's can be worse than when the time comes and we actually receive the news of our loved one's death.

                           Instead of using another moment up with worry and fear of the loss in the future, focus on the present and enjoy each moment with your Mom now.  Tigger1990, that's really all we can do .  We can't stop it from happening, we can't control the time etc...even though we feel helpless, and think if we just keep worrying and trying to figure things out or try and find a solution so that it won't or can't happen...but it's just not in our control...none of it.

                            I have to say that serenity prayer each day..."Lord help me to accept the things I can not change, change the things I can and the wisdom to know the difference".

                             Tigger, you will get through this, you must carry on even after the unthinkable and you lose your Mom someday.  You honor your Mom by continuing your life , keeping her memory in your heart and living the best life you can.

Im so sorry to hear about your Mum. Is she in the hospital or at home?

My advice would be to make sure you tell her everyday that you love her and make sure your there for her. Even if its just being around!!

I also thinking posting and reading this site is a great way to let your emotions out if your struggling to do it any where else.

I am so sorry to hear about your mom. We just found out that my mom has a mass on her kidney's which they are pretty sure is going to be cancer. She has the biospy Thursday but I can't get the fear out of my head. I wish that I had great words to make you feel better but all I can say is tell her everyday that you love her and I know that is what I am doing with mine.
