Hi and welcome,I'm a one year survivor of Stage 2 breastcancer.I had 6 months of kemo and 2 lumpectomys 7 weeks of radiation and now hormone theripy tomox. Its been along year but i made it.Take one day at a time.I know how scary it is but the ladys on these boards are wounderful. They have got me through some rough times. You are going to have alot of tests done to determine stage how advanced the cancer is scans, but you will get through this.Take some one with you to app so they can be a second set of ears.If your Dr are not willing to answer your questions and be supportive then find new ones.....godbless roxy

Hi, bearbear, Sorry about your dx but welcome. This is the worst part right now. All the tests and decisions, but you'll  get through it. This is a great place to come to for support and information. Remeber to stop and breath and be good to yourself. Good luck and keep posting.

    Bearbear,

Sorry you have had to join our exclusive club that no one wants to join.

I am a 3 year survivor of IDC, diagnosed at age 41 with a 4 cm tumour, grade III and 3 positive lymph nodes.  I finished active treatment - lumpectomy, chemo and radiation 2 years ago in August.   This is an emotionally and physically exhausting journey but many of us have done it and are living our 'new normals' beyond breast cancer.   This board is excellent as a resource and of course for that much needed support.

I am mainly on here now to give back as this board saved my sanity in the beginning when I was first diagnosed-- scared and terrified.

It takes awhile for your body to digest this diagnosis emotionally, for me post treatment was the hardest like being put out to sea and trying to find your way back.

All the best to you in your breast cancer journey.  Let me know if I can answer any questions that you may have.

    Michele
