You want me to write what?

It all started the day I went to my breast surgeon to find out about my breast biopsy.......
You want me to write what on my what?
Office visit before biopsy: The Dr. says "You need to write the word 'YES' on the breast that is to be biopsied". It's the law the Doc. explained.
Later that same day: I'm on the phone with my sister & sister-in-law ( who has had the same biopsy). We start giggling as I discuss this part of the procedure. We start to hatch a plan as how to be creative with this LAW!....(a lot more hysterical giggling) LaughingLaughingLaughing!!!!!
The day of the biopsy: Now you have to realize I have a dry little wicked sense of humor....So as I get to thinking what my Dr. & his nurses see all the time.... A set of breasts, one with a YES on it & the other PLAIN. I put my plan into action....only I've decided to put it on paper & not my body.....
THEY SAY LAUGHTER IS THE BEST MEDICINE -- So read on!
(HERES THE PART I DON'T KNOW HOW TO PUT IN THE COMPUTER)
So imagine if you will....(my cartoon)....A picture of a NAKED womans body just 2 boobs & a set of hips, no arms legs or head! On this body it reads!!!!
NO YES

DON'T GO THERE
ALREADY BEEN DONE!
This is all true. I wrote this cartoon-joke & gave it to my Dr. the day he did my biopsy, showed it to the nurses & technician! They were all laughing hysterically! My Dr. even took back to the office & showed the nurses there.
P.S. Don't go there already been done - Hyster done 3 yrs ago! LOL!
Hope you all enjoy my twisted sense of humor ~ Julee!

How funny! The pre-op nurse also told us we should take a sharpie marker and write on my chest as a precaution before my masectomy. I wrote "I'm with stupid" with an arrow on the good one and "take ME!" on the bad. Wish I'd been awake to see the reaction.
(((HUGS)))

Julee and Dianne, your "instructions" are hilarious!
(Where I had my surgeries, the surgeons, BS and PS, came into the dressing room before I had any drugs, re-confirmed what we were going to do, and signed their name with a sharpie on the side to be operated. Not as much opportunity for fun, but very reassuring anyway!!!)
-
Ann & Diane, the whole idea why I was there wasn't funny. But I had to do my thing or I would have lost it. Humor is the 1 thing to get me through it. Also while I was in 'The Position' (needle core biop) it reminds me of standing before the judge getting Sworn in for testimony. Only lying down! I was up the whole night before working, CNA. (I wouldn't have slept) So I was dopey on my own that day. I was looking at the nurse holding my hand through the procedure & said to her "Is Robin Hood done shootin his arrows yet". By the way the left boob I had to write YES on I also drew a Heart W/an arrow through it!

Just a bump for a friend! May you always be as brilliant in color as you are a friend!
!

Now, I know the surgical nurses say they've 'seen it all', but I bet this was the first time they saw this!
-
Julee,
Just seeing this in my mind's eye and LMAO!!!
-
Julee,
I should have guessed this was your post! You're humor makes my day! What a gifted imagination! I so wish I were a fly on the wall the day of your biopsy! xoxox
-
I was told we would fly threw my surgery, I ask how, The IV man was putting me out for my surgery.
-
I don't have any idea how you ladies kept your humor the morning of the surgery! I was horribly scared and giving my family my last and will and testament verbally between the car and the hospital! I think I was more scared of never waking up than losing a breast! OH MY! TO never have to go through that again! 49 was too young....149 will be too young!
But thanks for the chuckles!
-
The morning of my first mastectomy, three of my four kids were there. My oldest daughter wrote "Good Boob" and "Bad Boob" over each breast. The "Bad" one was given a set of horns! Then they wrote, "Please take care of our mom" and signed their names. Are my kids young? Nope! They were 23, 20 & 16 at the time and have always had a sense of humor, even when life is being scary...

At my post-op after my hysterectomy I "complained" to my surgeon that his incision line wasn't very straight. He commented that he went to med school, not art school. We both howled!
With my double mast I begged the surgeon to make a straight line. I was tempted to tape a ruler to my boobs, but my husband reminded me the surgeon is the one holding the scalpel!
