WHERE'S MY HAIR???? 11 weeks and I can actually see hair. No grey...all black..,no curls...straight. I keep having dreams where I wake up and a full head of hair has grown overnight.
-
Yay! Glad it is finally coming in, Cathy
-
Yay Cathy
-
Cathy! Relieved to hear that it is finally coming back for you! Yayyyyyy!!!
-
Six and a half months since my last chemo. Hair is EXTREMELY curly.
I don't mind it too much, just wondering how long it will get before I have a full fledged afro? haha
-
BellaV: awesome head of hair!!!
-
still straight but definitely gray!
-
Myraknits mine started that way but got darker the fuller it got. Still has lots of gray too.
-
Mine is like yours Myra but I knew I had gray. I never had dark hair though, white blond when I was young and brown later. As it grows in though there is definitely more dark, straight so far, but one side is growing a little more than the other! My lumpectomy side is a little slower so I'm massaging my head.
-
For me it's the top of my head that is slower than the rest. The back and sides are thick and about an inch ahead of my top.
-
I have the top on the slow side the same Valstim, much slower then the res
-
The hair on my legs is longer than the hair on my head. Havn't shaved because I am just so damn excited to start growing hair again!!!
-
katjadvm-I hear you loud and clear! It just seems sacrilegious to remove ANY hair that is actively growing after so long...
-
so after only 1 week, my lashes and brows are coming back in using castor oil before bed! No growth at all after chemo so I tried applying the oil with a Qtip before bed and I'm happy to report both are sprouting. I use it on my head too but that was growing fine so I can't tell if there's any difference but I can definitely see brows and lashes where nothing was coming in before. Plus I like the fact that it's not chemical! I definitely won't be using it on my legs or arms....😁
-
Myra, when did you finish chemo
-
I had my last treatment on 6/22. I did dose dense AC+T. The 1st picture is from 3 weeks ago, then weekly. The last two pictures are today. Mine is also coming in faster in the back.
-
LMV, 6/30/16 p.s. Eyebrows are totally drawn on...
Logang, that's a legit hairdo! Looking good
-
Logang, I luv the progression. I'm obsessed with benchmarking so thanks for sharing. Looking great!
Myraknits, that's the best pic I've seen in a long time. For SO many reasons. I luv the brows. Luv the eyes. And luv the hair. That totally made me smile!!
-
Myraknits, I love the brows!!! And the hair... Way to go Girl.....
-
Hi all...well, this is my hair 6 months PFC. I've even gone once and had it trimmed around my ears and neckline. My hair was so thin before chemo and now it's coming back thicker and a really strange color, like a steel gray, where I was brunette before! Plus my gray hairs are totally wiry and stick out everywhere! It's tough getting them to lay down!
-
Myra, your eyebrows look amazing! I wish you could teach me how to do mine.
-
PLUCKED MY EYEBROWS AND SHAVED MY LEGS TODAY. First time since I lost all those hairs! YAY‼️
-
Yay, Cathy!
I can see a few blond hairs on my legs, but nothing worth shaving. I see stubble on my noggin too. I would far rather have my eyebrows and eyelashes come back before my hair. I have a wig I like, but fake lashes and drawn on eyebrows don't compare.
-
Haha Myra! You make me laugh! Why does all our hair look the same colours!!!!!!???? I had grey before this with a dirty blonde/brown colour. I have never ever had dark hair but that's what I have coming in with the grey. When I look at the pics we all seem to have similar colours!
Here are my today shots...12 weeks PFC
-
Karen, you're right! It is all the same color!
-
Karen, your hair is looking so thick and gorgeous! Yep, we're all salt and pepper. Funny thing is I'm not sure what my real color was since I've been dyeing my hair for the past 25 years and never let it go more than a few Gray hairs between touch-ups. It it used to be dark brunette but apparently that was awhile ago... I'm considering bleaching it out and keeping it short. We shall see...couple more months...
-
my hair 11 weeks PFC. Front not as full. Getting thick and wavy. Was white now steely gray coming through. I had dark brown hair with some gray but nothing like this. But I'm thankful it's coming back because I know some aren't as lucky.
-
Keepongoing, 11 weeks! Amazing!! I love the waves. Right now my longest hair is on the very top so I'm kind of sporting a Mohawk. It's a new 'do every day....
I love seeing all our progress pix.
-
I am 3 1/2 months from Last chemo and I have a head full of hair! Once it starts about 6 weeks it grows back really fast. I had some graying before but after it grew back it was solid white. My hairstylist says chemo can change the pigmentation and the texture

Popping in to say hi and welcome to Countrygirl! Thanks for sharing your insight!
Looking forward to hearing more from you soon!
