Annie...You look ADORABLE!
Carrol: My hair is still very, very curly in the back (I love it). How long was it before you lost your curl. I am 17 months PFC -
Karen my hair wasn't super curly when it grew back but a lite more than my natural hair was. It started to grow in straighter I think after about 9 months plus I kept it long so the weight kept the curl down -
Annie, I did not like the curl and tried various products. They seemed to make the curls tighter and more defined, which was less poufy but didn't really look better to me. The only thing that helped was keeping it super-short, like so short the curls couldn't form complete circles. I am finally almost free of the curls, 10 months PFC. I really noticed the roots straightening out a couple months ago which gave me hope. -
Thanks Ann, I think that will be my strategy too. -
Karen, what a glorious photo of you and your husband! -
Karen, I agree - that is a beautiful pic of you and your husband. It just radiates joy! Yesterday I went and had my curly mane cut off. It's about like yours is in that pic, except the color. -
Hi, just wanted to check in to provide encouragement! I am 10 months pfc and finally have some good hair to work with. Hang in there ladies. -
Good to hear jojo.. I am 6 mo PFC and my hair is very thin. Very slow growing too. I'm beginning to get worried. I'm still having Herceptin treatments and of course taking Arimidex. I wonder if either of these slows hair growth. -
Liz have you tried Biotin? Also my bc friends who took herceptin lagged behind till they finished. I am on Tamoxifen and have noticed my growth slowed when I started. Good luck! -
Jojo looking good -
Annie: Let's see an updated pic.
Jojo. It DOES grow fast. -
This was taken this past weekend at a cousin's wedding in Memphis. I'm still getting used to the short hair. I had false lashes and my eyebrows filled in as well. I'm taking biotin as a supplement and using argan oil in my hair. Not sure they make a difference but make me feel better. Karen great picture. You look so happy. -
Shasha
you look great! so glamorous - I think the short hair is perfect on you -
went to my 44th highschool reunion last weekend - -
thank you Nancy. To tell the truth I still miss my long hair. -
I think I'll keep this look or my puppy, Cooper, won't recognize me...lol
-
We need a Cooper update! Grow a little hair so he has something to play with! Looking good! -

i fear i will have to go to work with not hat and then what? how long did it take you to get it to pony tail length? I am like some of you i feel i need my old me back cuz this short hair is a reminder of my bc. i just cant take it anymore lol

This new profile pic shows my hair 5 & 1/2 months post final chemo and after two trims. The second trim got rid of most of the tight, crazy curly stuff and I'm hoping it won't grow back. The color is the same as it was before chemo. Quit coloring the gray a few years before BC. -
Love your pic Annie
i also had two trims and the hair is still very curly
hoping it grow soon i miss my long hair.
-
Annie Lane, you are absolutely gorgeous! I am about 2 1/2 months PFC and to think I might have as much hair in just 3 short months from now made my day.
Love, MsP -
Hello! I had an email from a sweet lady looking for my "Epic Hair Regrowth" blog post. It's somewhere in this thread...hope y'all don't mind me sharing it again here. So here it is:
http://lunatechchick.blogspot.com/2011/12/all-this-hairy-businessorhow-long-will.html
I'm also pretty close to the last updated pic for it, called "Mission Accomplished". Like soooooo many others, the hair loss thing was the hardest part for me....not the cancer, but the hair. But it DOES come back & faster than you think too. Hope y'all are all doin good. Hang in there! And if I can help at all, just lemme know! xx
