Five Years Ago

Five years ago today, on June 13, 2003, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. It was Friday the Thirteenth that year, too. It was devastating news and couldn't have come at a worse time, but I'm still here today and apparently healthy, to boot. I'm going to celebrate later by going out to eat tonight. It's hard to imagine now that five years ago, I thought I wouldn't even be here today.

Congrats!!!!!!! I'll be 5 years in July. Not sure if I'm gonna do anything to acknowledge it. Guess I'll decide when it rolls around! Enjoy your dinner! Make sure to have dessert!

Hooptiedoo,
Congrats to you!
Five years, wow!
Look at us now!
You and I have the same anniversary date, June 13th, 2003.
I remember so clearly, sitting in that doctor's office that day and being told that I had cancer, we've come such a long way since then.
May we all have many more anniversaries to celebrate!

Hooptiedoo.
Congratulations on your five year mark.
I passed mine just a month ago, sometimes it seems an age ago, sometimes its just like yesterday. Whichever way you look at it it wasn't the best bit of news we ever got, was it!!??
Isabella.
