Hi, I'm 55 and this is my 5th cancer free year.  However, I was wondering what kind of vitamins I should take.  Because I was er+, I am not sure what I should take.  At this point my skin is so dry and I feel like I've aged ten years in these last few years.  I already take 1200mgs of calcium and a fish oil supplement, ( I don't eat fish--eww).  And that's it.  I've tried taking multivitamins but they just make me nauseous.  My dr. just says what I'm taking is fine, but I feel I should be doing more.  We all know what happens to our bodies as we age, especially when dealing with this specific health issue, but does anyone have any suggestions?  I think my body is telling me I need more cause lately I've been feeling kind of blah....you know, not down or depressed or anything like that, but just not my usual fun self.

    Thanks

What about Vitamin D? So much research is showing the power of D, and especially in regards to bc. My nutritionist says that D3 is the type to take because it is more absorbed by your body. I have an emulsified version. I take 3,000 IU's daily. Fish oil is the second thing he said we, as bc survivors, should be taking. Also, you might look into probiotics. I found it very helpful to talk to him about what I should be and don't need to be taking. He had great info on the different types of vitamins, which you don't get from just reading the back of the bottle. I never realized that there were so many different variables (like d2 vs d3...). Good luck!
