After 3 months of Taxatere and 12 months of Herceptin & 12 weeks of ray do any of you suffer from very bad pains in arms and find it hard to walk?  I cannot sleep at night due to the pain sometimes.

Jwade - I'm sorry you're having so much pain and difficulty sleeping. I've been getting Herceptin and Navelbine since April and my arms ache - mostly the left arm where they've been giving me the infusions (since my port incision wasn't healing). I attributed the left arm pain to the Navelbine because it's known to irritate the veins.....and my right arm pain is always after I see my LE therapist - she's been doing massage therapy to lessen the cording there. My onc nurse said to take 3 Advil pills about an hour before bed and if my arm really hurts, to wrap it in a warm compress. The Advil helps somewhat - but when it was preventing me from sleeping, I took a Vicodan. Have you told your onc about your pain? Maybe he can recommend something to help you. Frown

Hi!! I'm new to 'chatting' but not to the joint pain. I'm almost done with my yr of Herceptin!YEA! I've been thinking my joint pains were from running but it seems more than that! The feet, knees and arms too sometimes.

Yes, I too have finished chemo treatments, mammosite radiation treatments, and completed the year of Herceptin and can't wait for the aching to go away! I am 15 days past my last treatment and can't say the aches are gone yet.  But soon I will.
