    I am wondering if any of you w/brca2 had abnormal imaging BEFORE your cancer diagnosis, or did it just "appear".? W/o brca1 or 2, seems like atypia or calcifications, etc. are usually precursors. Is that true for brca also? Seems like it is a different thing all by itself, from the literature I read. The only thing abnormal I had so far was dilated ducts, which didn't seem to concern anyone too much until they found a possible "lump" in the duct. Turned out to be ductal ectasia. Planning mastectomy, but do I have time? One surgeon thinks it is not necessary YET. I sure don't want to wait until

    I get cancer.
