Hi Girls.........question for you.  I have what I have DX as Trigger Finger in the middle finger of dominant hand......few months now and at first it would just lock after being dormant all night.  Now it seems to have coaxed the ring finger to join it............about a month ago I developed a bump at the base of the finger on the palm side..........now it is SORE..............I hit it doing all normal activities....turning a door knob, steering wheel, can't grip tight enough to open jars............and the past two days I've had some shooting pain up my arm...not to bad...but definitely noticeable. 

I've already done a bout with tendinitis on the same arm...(wrist)..and after some treatment it doesn't bother me anymore..(I'm knocking on wood)....anyhow, the top joint of the finger has also flared up............any suggestions or feedback would be greatly appreciated!

I went to a hand doctor (didn't even know there was such a thing) and after a few xrays, he diagnosed trigger finger and gave me a cortisone shot.  It worked and the relief was almost immediate.
