Veggie juice recipes?

I recently bought a juicer but I haven't even unpacked the box yet.  I have heard (from someone on this board Smile) that daily juicing can help with detoxifying the body, digestive health and overall energy.  I just finished chemo 3 weeks ago and my system could certainly use some cleansing!  But I'm not really sure where to start.  I have no problem experimenting with fruit juices but since pureed lettuce doesn't sound very appealing, I don't have a sense of what to do, what the portions of various ingredients should be, etc.  I also don't know if particular veggies/fruits are good for certain things.  I've done a bit of searching on the web and found a few sites with recipes, but it's hard to tell what is valid, and what is some company's attempt to sell their juicing products.

I've heard good things about carrots, beets, ginger, cabbage, romaine, celery... any recipes or experiences about what has made a difference for you would be most helpful!  And, anything that actually tastes good would be a definite plus.  Thanks!!!

    Lorena:

I just ran across your post and wanted to direct you to a thread here that was started in October, 2007 by Joan of Ardmore.  It is under the Alternative, Complementary and Holistic topic and the thread is called "Gary Null, and Juicing."  It has about 81 comments and I have read through it now and then to pick up some ideas as to what veggies to juice as well.  I too, just got my juicer and it too, is still in the box - but I want to go through the ideas that many of the ladies have posted there once again and make notes, and then go to the store for the veggies I want to try.

    Hope this helps!!
