    I started on Tykerb 5 pills per day on the 14th of this month.  Yesterday when I woke up I had a terrible rash all over my back, front, and some on my legs.  I hear this is a good sign that your body is responding to the medication.  My doctor told me to take Claritin once a day and control itching with Benedryl and topical creams.  My question is does this ever go away or do you fight it the whole time you're on the Tykerb?

    I also just don't feel as well, not exactly nausea, but kindof a sour stomach and food doesn't taste the same.  Is this also from the Tykerb?

    Funny thing is, I don't have the #1 side-effect I keep hearing about--diarrhea.  I wonder if it's because I have to take calcium for the Zometa I'm on.

    I am sorry that I don't have any answers for you. I wanted to direct you to her2support.org. There are many on the tykerb and have a thread related to this.

    I am so happy that you are responding well to the tx. That sounds great that you aren't having the diarrhea as that is one of the biggest compalints as far as I know.
