    ...anyone tried it?

I just joined yesterday, started my day 1 of 2 day detox to kick start things.  Here's to losing 50 lbs!!

I'm just wondering if anyone else has gone that route...?

I've thought about joining LA Weight Loss......but never did. I'll be interested in hearing about your experience with LA Weight Loss. Is it stricter than Weight Watchers?  I'm a life-time member of Weight Watchers, but once I hit menopause (when I turned 47) and started working a full-time job on computers, I gained so much weight........I continued to attend WW meetings, off and on, but I've never really lost all the weight - I'd love to also lose 50 lbs! I'm tall, so people don't realize I carry that much extra weight - but my knees and hips do! The old WW program when I first joined 20 years ago, was very strict - only 3 proteins, 3 carbs and 3 fruits a day. Now they let you eat anything you want (on the points program). I can use up all my points by 11:00 in the morning - often I think I should find all my old WW material and just follow that plan, but I never do.

ANYWAY - good luck with with the diet and let me know how you like LA Weight Loss!

I did LA, it helped my alot. I lost 40 lbs. It taught me about portions and how to eat. It does take alot of commitment. I LOVE ice cream. I could eat it all of the time, but moderation is the key. My experience with them was a good one. I hope you do great!

That's good to hear Lynne...I have a lot to learn about portion control.  I eat waaaay too much in a sitting.  How long did it take you to lose your 40 lbs?  And did you use their supplements?

I started their program at the begining of Aug in 2005. I reached my goal in Feb of 2006. I did not always do a perfect job!! I did take their supplements, I don't know if it is really neccessary but I did. I didn't do alot of exercise while I was on the program. I do like the LA lite bars that they have. I have only gained back about 5 lbs. If I see the scale going up then I know that I need to start watching my portions and my ice cream intake a little better!! LOL Let me know if you have any more questions.

    Thanks Lynne-

I've lost 6 lbs. so far!!  I don't think I'll go the supplement way.  It was already a stretch to pay the money I paid!

    I'll keep you posted.

Jeez, I haven't been back here for awhile!  I'm down to 199 from 237 (I thought it was 224, but I guess I lost some weight before I started LAWL).  I checked with my onc office and in January I was 237 *yikes*.

So that means I'm down 38 lbs total, but 25 since I started LAWL.

I am so doing the happy dance for me LOL.
