Has anyone tried the silicone support strips that are sold from the TLC web site for $26 for a set of four?  It says they are a reusable self-adhesive strips that you can use on your silicone breast form.  I'm guessing they are to make a regular breast form into the type that you can buy that is already able to stick right to your chest.  When I bought my original silicone breast forms, I did not get the adhesive kind and sometimes wish I would have.  I was just wondering if these strips are suppose to work the same way....and if they actually work as well as the adhesive breast forms.

    samon,

I think they're definitely meant to make a regular breast form into a self-adhering form. I've noticed that Nearly Me also sells similar strips called Silicone Security Strips and I've been tempted to try them.

I'd also love to hear from anyone who has used one of these products.

I'm wondering if anyone has tried these yet?  I'm very tempted, but I'm afraid to since I'm not sure how easily they will come off of my breast form if I don't like them.  My insurance only pays for one set of breast forms "ever" so I'm trying to make mine last as long as I can.  In the winter when I can hide under sweatshirts, I just wear foam ones to extend the life if my expensive ones.  Please let me know if you have tried either of the strips from TLC or Nearly Me.  Thanks

Samon, what insurance do you have?  I've never heard of an insurance company only paying for one set of forms for life.  You should look into it.  I hope you misunderstood, since most forms last between 2-5 years.  I don't think they can legally limit you to one set for life.

My insurance company will pay for a set every two years - with a doctor's prescription.

It states in black and white that they will pay for just one set per lifetime.  The insurance company is through my hubbys work and is considered "self funded".  I don't understand all the rules about it, but from what I understand, they can make their own rules and this is one of those.

Our insurance (Blue Cross Blue shield HMO )only paid for 1 set for me--they said thats all the law says--1 set and or reconstruction----you can sue them but if I could afford that I would just buy my own every year. I was lucky and found some on clearance on line at a price I could afford
