I will admit that these last 18 months have been difficult and I am an emotional eater. However, I am starting to feel more positive about my future (like, I HAVE one) ;-) and I have been taking a great interest in nutrition recently. I wasn't eating horribly these last 18 months but I also wasn't eating healthy either. I wish I had started with really good nutrition immediately after my dx. I am not overweight (although I wouldn't mind dropping 5 lbs.); I am also exercising every day during the week (I wasn't before). I am feeling like I may have done more damage to myself since dx, although all of my check ups since then have gone well. Guess I just needed to vent a little (I tend to "beat myself" up over things). Anyone else feel this way?

Well, I WAS a healthy freak and then got bc again. Dammit! And I too, am an emotional eater and my hubby and I self medicated with plenty of Edy's ice cream.
I am trying to get back into healthy mode now and I swear I have put on 30 lbs. since this last diagnosis. Well, prob. 10, then another 20 from emotional eating. Chemo pause has helped with this too.
I refuse to beat myself up, but I am realizing it makes no sense to go thru all the surgery, chemo, etc. (on txt #5, just past it, of 8 CMF) and eat to make things worse. so I too feel the way you do, that I am doing more damage.
i am going to go back to cataloging what I eat on a little slip of paper. Trying for 9 fruits/veggies and after that, I'm too full to eat the junk. Also trying to say "help or hurt" to myself before it goes into the face.
Good luck to both of us, I gotta stop with the emotinal eating, bec. now I have two problems, and bc is definitely linked to excess weight!
