Our most gracious heavenly Father, first and foremost I thank you for your Son, Jesus Christ, who died for us.  I thank you that you are a forgiving God, a loving God.  Father, I pray for all of the families that have lost a mom, daughter, grandmother, sister, aunt, friend and for the families of men who have lost a dad, son, bother, uncle, grandfather.  We are grateful they no longer suffer Lord and I thank you for taking care of them.  I pray for all the children who lost their moms this past year, some of them so young, they may not even understand.  Father, please wrap us all in your loving arms and help us to remember our mom's Sunday in a special way. 

I thank you Father, that grieving does get better.  The memories of death fade and are replaced with the wonderful memories of happier times.  I thank you for being right beside me the whole way through this past year learning how to move on without mom.  I pray all the other families Father can feel your presence, can feel your unconditional love, can feel your comfort when they think peace will never come again.  I thank you for the reassurance You give.   

Thank you Father for all mothers, for all the love they give us, even from beyond.  You are an awesome God and I am humbled to be one of Your children.
