Wow, your party is really going to be fun!!!   Regarding the psychedelic tablecloth --- make your own by tie-dying it.  Just use the colors you need.

Thanks Rocktobermom!  I found one on e-bay pretty cheap, but I may tie-dye the napkins to go with it.

It really is a fun theme to work with.  I was just a kid but remember so many of these things.  My mom with her hot pants and go go boots - lol too fun!

Any ideas on the holders for the party favors?  I thought of painting flower pots with....well bright colored flowers, but I'm still searching.  I only need 8...possibly 4, if I combine couples. 

I'm loving all of your ideas.  It is really helpful.  Nothing like getting together with a group of women to get those creative juices flowing! Thanks so much! Please keep em coming.  Party is not until mid-july.

Has anyone suggested macrame rings for the napkin holders? I have some of the large wooden macrame beads in yellow, green, and orange, with owls painted on the side - straight from the 70's. I could send to you for this project. Just pm me your address and how many you want. I am trying to get rid of them (they came from my mom's house).

Thanks Sheila.  That's a great idea!  Would I just need to find some macrame thread/rope and string the beads?  If so, would any craft store carry that?  If it is as easy as stringing beads, hey I can do that! lol  Otherwise, I don't know how to tie macrame knots.

Don't forget some games ... hula hoop. Maybe Twister.  Someone already said Limbo. If you get a Hula Hoop, make sure you get the bigger ones, the little ones are for kids and too hard to stay up!!  You can even purchase a Hoppity Hop .... wouldn't that be fun to purchase 2 Hoppity Hops and do a relay race between 2 teams??

Or buy a pogo stick and see who can jump the longest or most jumps!

also you could buy some washable paint and do face painting of the colorful flowers or what ever your guest want for body painting

I forgot to add also all the good dances so guest could dance the twist, the monkey, watusi, locomotion. That would be fun.

I love creamcheese or cheesewhiz on Ritz! 

I saw a recipe for Meatloaf Wellington that I'm going to try out. I've heard of Beef Wellington, but this is a first.  I do, however, remember eating alot of meatloaf as a little kid! lol

There also is a cool recipe for a potato volcano, but I need to see if I can make individual volcanos per person as we plate each course.  Has anyone ever tried this?
