    Hi Everyone,

I will be walking in Chicago's Avon Walk for Breast Cancer. As I am sure you all know, you must raise $1,800 to participate in the event. I still have to raise $474 before the walk, which is May 31st-June 1st. That means I only have 28 days until the walk to raise the money... Please view my website and help me reach my goal!

    Thank you in advance!

    Hi Meghan!

It's so nice of you to participate! Thanks so much...I just made a donation on your behalf at your fund-raising page. I'll spread the word that you need to meet your $1800 minimum...best wishes to you.

Meghan: I just looked at your site, and I must say the memorial section just touched my heart.  Will try to spread the word to other Chicago neighbors.  Hope you reach your goal.

My teenage kids signed up for the Relay for Life after I was diagnosed in February.  I give them so much credit for doing this on their own.  They're having a hard time getting people to join their team as everyone seems to already be on a team. This is also causing them to have a hard time raising the money they need.

I will attend with them but am not sure how long I'll make it.  Fatigue keeps me from hanging on or out too long.  I'm signed up as a survivor so I am not required to stay the whole night.

Please, they can really use some help raising their goal, which will raise their spirits.  this has been really hard on them watching me go through this.

Thanks to everyone who helps them.

    God bless you all!!!!

Laura ~ THANK YOU VERY MUCH for your contribution. You are in my thoughts and prayers. It is so good to hear that you have been cancer free for 2.5 years.

This is the first walk I have decided to join, my friend (at 25 years old) went through a few months of testing after a lump was found in her breast.  After it all she came up cancer free. I also had a cousin and aunt-in-law have a mastectomy and have been cancer free for 3+ years. I have seen all of them be so strong through that hard time that I wanted to contribute to the research and possible cure of such a horrible disease.

I am now $334 away from my goal... I hope that I am able to reach that amount so I can participate in the walk. I am sure it will be an event I will always remember.

    Thank you again!
    Meghan

One more thing....maybe you could go to some local stores or restaurants and ask for donations. Tell them you are really close to meeting your goal thanks to family and friends. And that you would appreciate their help as well. CRY IF YOU HAVE TO! LOL Tell them you would mention their business name at your fund-raising page and then update your page with their name.

You're so close to reaching it!
