Hi, all 

Diagnosed with IV stage recurrence (She had it back in 1991), My mon is now having her FAC chemo and taking Chinese medicine at the
same time. I am just despearte taht I daren't take her off chemo and go
full monthy with Chinese medicine, and vice versa. As I always
said, "Too many options, Too many questions".

I have been reading some posts about the "Maitake D-extract" which is
now being researched for its effectiveness in stifling and even killing
off those cancer cells. Can anyone give me details about this? In HK,a
30 ml extract costs about HK$1100 and only lasts ten days at most.

I take Natural Factors Maitake Gold 404.  A maitake extract developed by Dr. Hiroaki Nanba.  It has 15mg of the extract and 85 mg of a mycelia blend.For advanced conditions you take 1 mg (of the extract) per 2.2 lbs of body weight.  A person weighing 140 lbs would take 4 caps.You can get it at iherb.com for $42, 90 caps.  You can also get it in liquid.  The liquid extract is 23 mg per 1 dropper full.  The bottle contains 40 servings at $31.

I take it now and took it while going through chemo.  I'm stage 4.

i was treated at memorial sloan kettering and they offered me a trial on maitake mushroom extract

i turned it down because it was only a 2 week trial and i had to go take blood tests every couple of days and i live far from the hospital

they also would NOT pay for the mushroom extract after the 2 wk trial so i felt what was the point 

what could they discover in a 2 week period 

would be really interested in hearing anything about this
