The very generous Mary Jo Fahey has written a comprehensive yet easy to understand book on iodine which addresses breast as well as other issues. She is well-respected in the alternative medicine world.

Please scroll down to Ruby Tuesday's message. She gives a new link that starts with "jcrows..."

That link works for everybody. The iodine book is essential reading if you have any breast disease. And it's free and not selling anything.

I'm reading the book also and thank you for mentioning.  I also was getting 'not found' responses from the first two links, but the third one worked fine for me.

I didn't get very far before taking a detour into youtube land.  There was a mention of a dr hoxsey from the 50s who was treating cancer patients successfully and he was maligned as a quack.  Then I viewed several other videos about alternative treatments to cancer.  I was noticing that people who get better from alternative treatments will go back to their mainstream doctors for a checkup, and when they get results saying they're in remission, they don't tell their mainstream doctor that they sought treatment elsewhere.

I can understand that people do this because the mainstreamers have such a condescending attitutude toward alternative treatments.  One has to wonder, though, what are the conclusions of these doctors?  They have a cancer patient who got better, but they don't have all the information pertaining to the patient's treatment.  And even when patients do tell, the mainstreamers still look down their noses and classify the improvement as 'spontaneous remission.'

I look forward to learning more.  It blows my mind that altnerative therapies are available and effective, yet none of those options were presented to me at the time I was dx'd.  I really don't care what my medical doctor would prefer for himself personally.  If he wants mainstream medicine, fine.  I would much prefer to know ALL my options before making a choice.  I think it's such a shame that altnerative treatments are discredited.
