hair going - how long til gone?

Hello, ladies.  My hair seems to have started coming out this morning, 2 weeks after my first chemo treatment.  About how long until it's all gone?  I'm trying to decide when to cut it, and also whether or not to shave my head.  I had planned to, but some people said they kept some, so I thought I might just try to cut it short, and maybe have enough for some wisps in front of my ears and bangs under hats.

i had very long hair, i did dd 4 ac and 4 taxol, mine started falling out 5 days after the second chemo, i cut it right after the second tx but that was too late, it was already coming out in clumps and was very devastating because it was so long, i then shaved it before the third tx. i ended chemo 4/03/07 and by july i had 2 inches of hair. good luck to you.

Hi.  The wig maker I went to told me my hair would fall out 17 days after my first AC chemo treatment and she was right.  I had my hair shaved before day 17.  I think that the stubble took about 5 to 7 days to fall out.  There were whisps remaining but they were very few and almost invistible until recently when they started growing longer.  It is 5 weeks since my last chemo and I think that the hair is now growing back.
