    Does anyone know the protocol with Alpa-lipoic acid and Xeloda to help with hand and foot syndrome? I read to take 600mg daily on the week off from treatment. My mother is back on Xeloda, her cancer has spread now to her right lung. She gets blisters on her feet which have become infected and she had to stop the Xeloda previously. I wanted to see about trying ALA (thioctic Acid) to prevent these hand and foot problems.



    I just don't want her treatment to be interrupted again, especially now that it has spread to her lung.
