For the record, for newbies:  I had 4 DD A/C and was fine after the first one, a little more tired after the second, etc.  The effects do get worse with each treatment, but my se's were really not bad.  No nausea or vomiting.  I did get Emend and some other drugs to avoid the nausea and they worked great.  I also got Neulasta shots the day after each treatment.  Thank God it's over.

BTW, some se's don's show up until AFTER you've finished tx.  I had my nails turn yellow, soften and peel off.  Lost the eyebrows and lashes several weeks AFTER finishing chemo (lashes have fallen out every three months since then for a total of four times so far) and had wicked knee and ankle pain for two weeks about six weeks AFTER chemo.  I think that was from the Neulasta but no one can tell me what it was really from.  They just don't know a lot about these things.  Scary.  Well, you do recover.

    Hi All,

I am new to this site and have got a whole lot of good information. I did my firts chemo on the 16th and go in tomorrow for # 2. I am on the ACT plan. I pretty much freaked out at the first one and was thinking it would be a good idea to take the attivan before treatment tomorrow. I had almost no side effects . Constipation like no other. I have developed sores( like acne but itchy) on my head and down one shoulder. I got mouth sores and everything tastes funny. I take Neupogen shots for 7 days in a row right after chemo and I have worse reactions to that than to the chemo. The bones aching if you can call that acheing. I couldnt even sit but I fould a little tylenol got rid of the pain. So for me the first was much easier than I expected. Im so glad you all have been so honest about s\e . I was just expecting things to stay the same and now I know from your experience that this will get a bit worse.
