It means, "white girl" ... that's what they call me at work. We have a lot of spanish speaking people at work and I eat lunch with them most days, they are all latino ..... They told me they mean it affectionately, they call one of our guys, "Ojitos" .... because of his big eyes. Might sound derogatory but we all eat together and take turns buying lunch, we don't think they are making fun of us and they assured us they aren't ... LOL!

I am trying to pick up some Spanish and refresh the Spanish I knew from high school and college. Some times, the patient and I know more medical Spanish than the secretary because we all know how much medicalese you learn being a patient. donna
