I just discovered this site, and feel comforted by all the ongoing conversations.  I have completed my 4 taxol (every other week) with a neulasta shot 24 hours after each.  Usually the achey pain last about 2 1/2 days, but this is my 4th morning where I almost feel like I have a sciatic nerve thing happening.  Also, a strange dry rash has broken out on my left thigh!! I'm using Eucerin cream, but it's still there.  I can only stand vicodin for the first day and 1/2, so I'm feeling miserable.  Fingernails are discoloring, too.  I'll look for future responses.  Thanks.  CurlyAnne

HI, CurlyAnne, sorry you find yourself here, but you are welcome. You should discuss your symptoms with you onc. He or she will have may be able to help you with a solution. Hope things get better for you.

Anyone suffering from breast cancer must know that there are many other things they can do to beat the battle of breast cancer. I have had bone cancer and I must tell you natural treatments work more effectively than chemotherapy. What is interesting is that the selling of apricot kernels has been made illegal by the government in the USA. Why may you ask- that's the very question we are all asking, why would they ban apricot kernels- the only true source of B17 vitamins? This one factor amoung others shows that one can rid of cancer, like me who is living three years after I shouldn't be am here to show it is proof it works. To anyone newly diagnosed or currently going through treatment, just my suggestion but I think it's probably best to ignore the above post from MikeyBB (and his 25 other identical posts from this evening).  There are no miracle cancer cures.

I had to take neulasta also with the taxol, I wasn't sure which of them was causing me the aches and pains but they were quite sever. 

Hot baths helped but I also took T3's "Warning .. causes major Constipation" to relive the pain and yes I also had sciatic pain but I associated it with lying on the sofa for a few days at a time.  I have had sciatica problems in the past from playing racquetball and managed to play in between my treatments so I assumed that it was from this and then lack of exercise for a week and lying on my back for long periods of time.

Have you tried Darvocet that may help if you cannot use Vicodin
