40 Today!

Well after being diagnosed with breast cancer at 36 when my twin boys were four I should be glad to 40 - and I am. I must however admit it is a big milestone for me, saying good-bye to my thirties. Sigh....
My twin boys were born the day before my 32nd birthday so they turned eight yesterday. They are the best birthday present anyone could have. As I said to my hubby I am not doing too badly for a short fat 40 year old with one boob LOL.
Take care ladies,
Sandy -
YAY, SANDY.....HAPPY FREAKIN' FORTIETH BIRTHDAY!!!!!!! Leavin' the thirties behind and moving into a fresh new phase where you can embrace life by embracing your wonderful family! May you have many, many more healthy, happy birthdays!

Oh, what a milestone---Congrats!
Guess what! My forties were the best -- that's what I thought, until I hit 50 and then I knew they were better. Now in the 60's, I know they are!
I am old enough to learn from my mistakes: and which ones I want to do again!

This 40 year old Sandy would like to also wish you a Happy B-Day
-
Happy Birthday, Sandy!!!!!
thought I oughta bake a cake (
) -- of course, it says "SANDY" -- I think the "S" just slipped down between the "4" and the "Oh"... (

Whooooooo hooooooooo!! Big day. Big smiles. Big wishes. Big hugs.
***At this very minute I'm in a reality show called: "Twins Watch Central." It's where the grandmother moves in for a couple of months and sleeps on the futon in the playroom, with all of her clean underwear in a box, because her SIL is away in the Air Force and her DD isn't allowed to lift the toddler, soon to be 2 or do much of anything else either, because she was already high risk, before they found out about the twins!!
So I need YOU to assure ME that everything's gonna be fine. LOL.
p.s. I feel so VERY fortunate to be starring in this show. Can't wait to meet the other stars.... literally any day now: one of each!!

congrats on the big 40. Live every day to the fullest.

Happy Birthday. I was 37 when I was dx and one of my first thoughts was wondering if I'd live to be 40 so I understand the significance of this milestone.
-
Sandy: Happy, happy 40th!
((((((((Hugs)))))))))

Happy Birthday Sandy!!!

Thanks for all the good wishes ladies. They are much appreciated. I had my first party in 10 years - lovely dinner at a thai restaurant with 30 members of my Dad's extended family. My husband and boys bought me a beautiful print of Mount Wellington in Hobart, our new home. We moved here last year to be with Dad after Mum died of melanoma. It was sad that Mum was not here but I wore the necklace she gave me for my birthday last year so she was there in spirit.
Take care,
Sandy
P.S. I love the cake Ann. I think one of my kids must have eaten the "S" that's just the sort of thing they would do
.

Sandy,
I'm so sorry about the loss of your mother...it's nice that you are able to be near your father and his family now during such difficult times. I have no doubt your mother was "there" with you and happy to see the family all together to celebrate your day.
I just looked up pictures of Hobart, Tasmania, and Mount Wellington....absolutely gorgeous! Australia has always intrigued me...someday I hope to travel there.
-
Happy 40th!!!!!!! I had a wonderful 40th and I hope you do too!!!!!
Love,
Barb (who also has one boob!)
-
