The Last Lecture

I've been following Randy Pausch's journey with pancreatic cancer and find him to be one of the wisest and most inspiring people in our world today. And tonight, Diane Sawyer will be hosting a special on his way of living his final months with the disease. He also has a book by the same title, The Last Lecture, coming out and I intend to grab it as soon as I can. Here's the info on the show:

I believe that this man has an important message to all of us who want to truly embrace life and live it to the absolute fullest, each & every moment! So let's be inspired!!!

I've seen him on tv .... he's pretty neat but I don't think I have the courage to face it like he does!
-
I check out his website every few days to read the latest news about him.
This is from April 2nd:
"I just had a biopsy taken of my tumor tissue; that will be sent to TGEN in arizona, where they will run some tests to see if they can identify which chemotherapy drugs might be most effective on my particular tumors."
Wasn't aware that testing individual tumors to ascertain the best chemo fighter is currently an option.
Wishing him well. He's had a tough couple of weeks.
Here's his update page:

jellydonut...Thanks so much for that! I started reading and couldn't stop. This guy is just waaaaaay cool! I don't want to think any more about dying, but I sure would like to live as fully and as effectively as he is living!

awesome. I watched it. Thanks for the blog link. That man has beaten the odds!
-
I saw him on GMA this past summer?
I thought he was So Inspiring & Really thought he had the Best Attitude about how to live Life.
I didnt watch last night, but I have it recorded. I may try to watch it this weekend.
-
I watched the special last night and all I can say is "Wow," and God bless him and his family!!!
-
I've been following him too-- what a tremendous human being. People like him remind me not to sweat the small stuff and whine about things that don't really matter.
-
Thanks for the links..... I saw the special, but wasn't aware of his site.
From Pema Chodrin:
Death is certain. The timing of death is uncertain. What is important for me to do with this day?
