Those are some wonderful furry, hairy, scaly and feathered babies. Thank you all for sharing, they make us smile.

Gus-60lb 1year old boxer god who knows mix, who believes he is a lap dog and shares the bed. Someone just tossed him out when he was 8 weeks old poor baby. Trust me it was not my idea to teach him that....he is hubby's boy and best friend.

Till he gets in trouble then it is run to mama.

Roxie-5lb 15 year old papillion, who rules the roost. Poor thing deaf as a door nail and almost blind. But still bouncy as all get out. Yes, she sleeps with us also.

    Brinna-20lb 5 year orange tabby

Maeve-17lb 5 year old tortoise shell long hair and Brinna's sister.

I love the pictures of the baby goats!

Currently, I am sharing the house with  3 Bouvier Des Flandres (Lola age 9, Theo age 7 and Chase age 3 - my avatar) and an English Pointer named Scout (age unknown).

An African Grey parrot named Paris with a vocabulary of 200 words and never shuts up.

    2 chickens (Maxine and Laverne).

Peregrine falcon and a Prairie falcon (my husband, the falconer).

The falconbns are impressive but with my supressed immune system, I stay away from them!

Sally, so sorry about Tobby, people who don't have pets cannot understand what we feel when we lose one. Take care.

HKitty, is there any room in your bed for you ?? Love the little butterfly dogs, I used to have one about 10 years ago, they are very rare here in UK, I never can find one whenever I think I will get myself another !

    Isabella.

    Hi Isabella4,

Not much,I forgot my husband is in there also and no folks it is only a queen size we must look like a very strange dog pack.

Papillions while not totally a well known breed here in the states the Iams dog food ad as well as I think it is Kohls have put them out there for people to see. It always surprises me when someone knows what she is, most go what a neat Chihuahua.

    Sally

I am so sorry about Tobby, I lost my border collie Nessa last year and I still miss her to this day. People without pets do not always understand that to us it is a member of our family, not just an animal.

    Good day all animal lovers:

Who says that an old dog (Arthur is going to be 10 years old on June 16...), can't learn new tricks?!?!?!

And about the sex of the turtles... that one is still bothering me... I don't know who is who!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Two Berners - litter mates - Rosey and Charley - almost 3 years old and Cocoa - 16 years beagle cocker mix.  My DS has several pets of his own since started to work at a pet supply store last year - a couple fish tanks, lizard and some other "tank" animal that I can't remember type.  His bedroom is in the basement so I don't see his critters much.

I love all kinds of animals.  These pictures are so sweet!  I absolutely  adore the turtles.  The goats are precious too.  And of course all the dogs are beautiful!

I have 2 dogs.  My boxer/mastiff mix is about 8 years old (we think).  His name is Duke.  He is a rescued dog.  My other dog is a Pit Bull.  Her name is Dreama.  She is about 4 years old and is a SPCA  rescued dog.  Then I have a cat named Kitty Witty and a horse named Buddy.  The horse has 7 pasture mates which includes a new little filly and a new colt.  My horse is their daddy.  They are beautiful.  I also have a grandpuppy named Sly.  He is amy daughter's dog, a 2 year old rescued Pit Bull mix.  He visits us quite often. and we call this his vacation home.  All of the animals love each other and get along great.

We also have a racoon that has adopted us.  He loves to come up on the deck and eat the catfood.  Sometimes he streches up on the french doors and begs for food.  He really is a wild animal, but he has decided to make himself at home here.

Hope to see more pictures posted!  Karen

We have a new baby on the farm!  I guess I'm a grandma again (My horse, Buddy is the daddy)  A new little filly was born early early this morning.  She is absolutely beautiful.  She is a White and Red Paint with the most beautiful blue eyes you have ever seen.  She's a pretty big girl--almost as big as the little colt that was born a few weeks ago.   I'll take some pics this weekend and post them.   The 3 new babies are all gorgeous!  Karen

My son got this mutt and she has been the best dog since my DX and my chemo we have become very close my son doesn't like to discuss my breast cancer he is 24 and is moving into his own little house with a room mate. First time ever and he will be buying his own electric and groceries mom he said hello welcome to my world ....anyway Mattie is smart and loving and she has a hasket that she sits on and looks out the window when I am home she looks out at the cars all day waits for my son to come home from work after me. She loves him but has been close to me so we are sharing custody of her I will have her and so will he I need her through my last chemo for sure I told him. Pets are great for anything your going through they are a comfort maybe a pest at times to let out she likes to get loose and go to the pound but I think she has figured out its not as nice as home. I spoil her and love it allot everyone should have a pet it keeps you healthier I know when I tell her about my tests results she listens and wags her tail I will post her picture when I take it ....

Enjoy your pet if you don't have one go to the pound...

I have a 6 year old pomeranian who is the baby in the family and a 5 year old dalmation who thinks he is the king of the house and wants everything.  He is somewhat of a baby too.  He was with me the whole time I was recuperating after surgery and would not leave my side.  Would love to have more pets but room here in the house doesn't allow it.  Hard enough to sleep in a queen size bed with my hubby and 2 dogs and the dalmation takes up 1/2 the bed any way.  LOL

I have a 4-1/2 year old Warmblood/Thoroughbred cross mare (Jazzy) who is jet black with a snip on her nose and one white hind sock.  I have had her since birth as I owned her dam who unfortunately has to be euthanized 2 months after giving birth so my filly was an orphan at a very young age.

I have a Westhighland White Terrier (Candi)- she is the 6th westie I have owned since I was 18 years old.

I have a border terrier (Abbey)- for those that aren't familiar with the breed as they are rare and there is a waiting list, think of the Benji dog and that is what she looks like - a real junk yard mutt looking dog that is a purebred.

I have a gray short haired tabby cat (Sadie) I rescued from the Humane Society when she was 2 years old.

I have a tiger looking male short haired tabby (Cody) that I adopted from a friend.

I have a medium hair siamese colored cat (Lucy) that came with the stepkids when we got custody of them.

Bottom line, 2 dogs, 3 cats, and one horse!  I am not getting any more animals - I have a zoo at my house as it is already.   I would consider getting another horse but I don't have the time to train 2 horses or the money to keep 2 of them.

Has been a while since I visit this thread... but the news are not too good.

I might have escaped BC this year... but my 12 year old dog, Arthur, didn't, he has cancer.  We begin his radiation this coming Friday, 3 sessions and than 4 vaccines.

His a typical text book case, 9 to 12 years old, black and mouth... his right upper lip/jaw.

After thinking and wondering what would be the best outcome financially and physically for my dog, I decided that radiation would be the last "painful" for the animal, as surgery seemed very complicated because where the cancer is located.

Please keep your fingers crossed and lets hope that this course of treatment "buys us another 12 years".
