    peel and slice golden delicious apples and place in a large pot ( I used 12 apples for Easter dinner for 4 w/ some left over)

    Add water to half the depth of the apples and let simmer till desired tenderness.Then add to apples...1 large container of Vanilla cook and serve pudding( I use Lite pudding)..stir ,add sugar/splenda and or cinnamon to your taste.

    Delicious............hmm

    Texgirl,

    Stewed apples bring back memories from childhood.  My mother used to make them, as well as stewed peaches and man were they good!  Her's were on the plain side compared to yours; she only added sugar and I think vanilla.  Your recipe does sound delicious.
