-

True, I am always hungry....or always liking to eat anyways!

False - I have stone and carpet floors.
The next person is looking forward to Desperate Housewives and Brothers and Sisters tonight.
-
Chemo does strange things; I craved hot, hot, hot, spicy foods....I would gobble down jalapeno peppers.....so much for all the 'eat bland foods' advice.
False, it is already 10pm here so they are over.
The next person comes from a large family
-
I bought a bag of Pepperidge Farm cookies last night and just now my husband brought the bag over and said "I guess you really like these?" There was one left and I ate them all! I have wanted hot and spicy too!

*sigh*) Hope your treatment speeds by.The next person is having a typical Monday...bleahhhhhh.
-
False - I refuse to accept that chemo is going to be my typyical Monday.
Juli - I am not even taking the steroids even with treatment, so I don't get it....
The next person fell asleep watching tv last night.
-
False (can't fall asleep to tv)
raincitygirl: GOOD for your attitude on the Mondays! I don't think the steroids had anything to do with the hunger, as it was only night before and day of chemo, not enough to trigger that hunger 'thang'. No idea why I was so hungry, but at times even water tasted terrible...I really needed something very very tart (pomegrante juice, cranberry, cole slaw w/vinegar, etc.). ALL my best to you, you have a good positive attitude (yes, I know that changes quickly). Thinking of ya...juli
The next person is watching it sleet outdoors right now (yes I am).
-
Back from chemo - water and ice were unbearable today. they gave me a double dose of ativan and zofran. By the time I got home, i wanted leftover pizza. Go figure. I still want tart, tangy, spicy, creamy, salted....
False - it is blue skies and cold sunshine here today.
The next person is craving chinese food.
-
False, MSG...no-no-no....and I don't believe them when they say they don't use it, lol.
I hear ya on water and ice being unbearable, ugh, I could not drink it at times. Yum on the pizza, my chemo nurses said EAT what you want, just eat! (And stay hydrated one way or another)...good luck this week, do you get white/red blood cell booster shots as well?
The next person has to shovel the porch now. (yes I do :O)
-
False - no shoveling for me.1
My cell and platelet counts are still excellent, so no shots for me. Yay for that. He said to eat, this is not unusual, and it will work out. He also wants me to start using my zofran more efficiently. Do you think eating leftover Halloween candy helps with hydration?
The next person has been eating Halloween leftovers..
-
TRUE...well, if it has any lil bit of liquid in it (liquid-filled-chocolate-cherries!)
YAY on no shots for you...are you nauseous alot? None of the anti-emetics ever worked for me.
The next person freezes their Halloween leftovers. (you've GOTTA be joking!)
-
False. I took all the leftover Halloween candy to work the very next day to get it out of the house cuz I knew we would eat it!
