I know someone who was in the Olympic Trials (but didn't qualify) and I know someone who has been to several as a spectator, but no one who has ever competed.

Ruth: My cousin and his wife are Olympic rowers and their daughter was on the Olympic Biathlon team. Their other daughter is currently on the US Biathlon Team, and their son has been on the Biathlon team. My cousin is the son of my mother's twin sister. Somehow I missed that athletic gene!

somewhat true, most of my plants are perrennials so they are doing ok. I planted four oaks last fall that aren't having a great time of it. they need watering almost every day because of the heat and drought conditions. Some of the leaves have yellowed and dropped... i'm hoping for the best. My neighbour is being a dear and turning the hose on while we are away...
