OMG Ruth this is too funny, I have my house phone linked to my cell phone and today I got one of these calls, so I played "crazy" I was all "oh noooo what do I do, oh help me oh what is wrong" after a couple of minutes he got tired of my anticsand realized he was being 'had' and hung up on me, me I had agood laugh. So my answer is true.
The next person has been out to dinner this week
-
Well if this don't beat all.....I hav been getting the same calls.....this clown said he was from Microsoft, Windows, and was with there tech support team............shocked how long this asshole stayed on the phone after I called him every scam artist n the bok.....
I also called Microsoft, and they told me "never never, let anyone touch your computer, that Microsoft does not, ever call anyone about fixing there computer.........I said "well why don't you spend some of your time and money finding out who is falsely representing your company..........
Worst thing is the keep calling..........what a bunch of morons.........its just annoying, and worst yet is when you have their nunbner, and then call back, and the number is not in service............where the hell is the FCC when this crap happens...............you mean they can't track these people down..........
-
So yes, its true, I get the calls too......
Next person wishes scams would be taken seriously......
-
True (so far I have never been suckered by them. Gotten the calls from scammer pretending to be from Microsoft as well. Watch out there is one for the IRS going around too. If you get a call from like this with the name Julie Smith, who is supposedly with the IRS, its a total scam. Got that one last year.)
The next person hates getting calls from telemarketers at dinner time
-
hate getting them anytime! The 'Microsoft' people called back AGAIN tonight. This time I said, "Oh, THANK YOU SO MUCH! I will immediately consult with my son who is an IT specialist (which is actually true)." When I did talk to him, my IT son says sometimes they let someone infect a computer on purpose and then they can trace back where it comes from....which I thought was interesting (and do not try this at home!).
