Bone marrow biopsy

I finished chemo 1.5 years ago for Stage 3A breast cancer and my white count has never gone back up and has stayed around 2.2 - 2.4. The rest of my blood work is good. My onc. has ordered a bone marrow biopsy to see if it will tell us anything. Has anyone had this done and what was the outcome? I'm trying not to freak out but it's hard not too.

I'm sorry to hear your having problems with your counts.  I haven't heard of this but please keep us updated on what the doc finds out.  I will hope for good news for you!

yep, I had the bone marrow biopsy for the same reason.  My  counts never came back up to where they should be. The biopsy was to rule out anything going on.  There wasn't.  Chemo takes a toll on the body and part of that, at least for me is a low wbc.  Take care, try not to worry too much and let us know how you make out...

A loved one of mine has had several.

They numb the area, but they can be uncomfortable.  Usually they go for the  hip.

I asked the nurse at the Onc's office if women did better with them than men and she said Yes.  Men are such babies.
