the surgeon seems to think that because no nodes are involved and clean margins and a complete modified radical mastectomy takes care of my mom triple negative cancer......I am not so sure......any body can clear this for me.....I hear and read there is more to triples.  Has anyone else been treated this way.

Well, the surgeon's not the one to talk to about chemo. Your mom needs to discuss things with a oncologist. From everything I've read, heard and been told, a 2 cm tumor warrants chemo no matter what your hormone status is. And it's particularly important for us triple negs, because we have no other weapons. A happy note is that chemo works especially well for us, too. (And hair grows back.)

If I were you, I'd raise some he** and put a rock under it. <grin>

On the other hand, if your mom is very elderly and/or frail, maybe the benefit of chemo wouldn't outweigh the toll it takes on the body.
